Why we started SAIGE.
SAIGE Africa began with a straightforward observation: African agriculture has no shortage of ambition, capital, or capability. What it lacks is the connected intelligence that lets them work together.
The starting point
The decisions that shape food systems are too often made without the evidence that would make them durable. Useful information exists, in public records, in institutions, and in the field, but it sits in fragments that rarely connect. SAIGE was built to join those fragments: to gather evidence with care, develop it into analysis, and help partners act on it.
Where we work
We work where agriculture meets sustainability, technology, finance, policy, and economic transformation. These intersections are where the harder problems sit, and where well-grounded analysis matters most. It is why SAIGE holds research and advisory in one organisation: the analysis and its application are not separate tasks.
We would rather earn trust slowly than claim it early.
Where we are headed
From a base in Ghana, SAIGE is building towards a continental presence: an advisory practice that designs and delivers programmes with partners, and a research platform that makes agricultural data more usable. The ambition is continental. The approach is deliberately patient.
